The week ending April 13th proved to have the lowest number of initial unemployment claims since September 1969. Seasonally adjusted initial unemployment claims numbered 192,000 as compared to 182,000 from September 6th, 1969. The 4-week moving average of 201,250 was the lowest level since November 1, 1969 when it was at 200,500.
